Managing Groups in Extraleap

Extraleap is a learning management system (LMS) that allows you to create and manage online courses. Group management in Extraleap refers to the feature that enables course creators or administrators to organize learners into groups for various purposes such as cohort-based learning, tracking progress, and managing access permissions.

In this tutorial, I’ll guide you through the process of managing groups in Extraleap. If you’re a group leader or administrator, this feature will help you organize and track the progress of learners within your group.

1. Accessing Group Management:

  • To access group management, log into Extraleap with your group leader account
  • From the menu bar above, navigate to the ‘Group ‘ tab and click.

     

     

  1. Creating a New Group/Team:
  • Click on the “Manage Organization” button.
  • Enter to the Add Team tab to create a new group.
  • Enter a Team name and assign you Group Leader.
  • Add the courses you want to include into the group with the help of the arrows
  • Click on “Save” to create the group.

     

     

  1. Adding Members to a Group:
  • To add members to the group, click on the group you just created.
  • Click on the “Team Member” button, then click on “Add Team Member”.
  • Search for users by name or email and select them to add to the group.
  • Click on “Save” to add them to the group.

     

     

  1. Enrolling Group Members into Courses:
  • After adding members to the group, you can enroll them in courses.
  • Go to the Courses section and click on the course you want to enroll the group in.
  • Under the Group Enrollment section, select the group you want to enroll.
  • Click on “Update Course” to save the changes.

     

     

  1. Monitoring Group Progress:
  • To monitor the progress of group members, go back to the Group Management page.
  • You’ll see a list of members in the group along with their progress in each course.
  • You can view completion rates, quiz scores, and other relevant metrics here.

     

     

  1. Managing Group Settings:
  • You can also manage group settings such as access permissions and group leaders.
  • Click on the group name to edit its settings.
  • Here, you can change the group name, description, leader, and other settings as needed.
  • Don’t forget to click on “Save Group” to apply the changes.
