Extraleap’s Sexual Harassment Training Complies with California Requirements
New law update: Beginning January 1, 2021, new supervisory employees in workplaces of 5 or more employees must receive training within six months of assuming their supervisor position, and new non-supervisory employees must receive training within the six months after hiring. Employees must retrain once every two years.
Extraleap HR professionals has prepared two courses that will guide you to deeply know your rights and obligations in your workplace:
Supervisor Course: This Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Supervisor Training course complies with federal regulations. This program aims to educate supervisors, managers and staff about the causes and effects of sexual harassment in the workplace. It looks at the elements that define behavior as harassment, methods that can be used to prevent harassment from occurring and ways to deal with situations should they occur. Supervisors are required to take Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention training every two years. This course is a lot more interactive and requires patience as the law requires it to be timed for at least two hours of training. With interactive examples, real cases scenarios, and skill bulding activities, supervisors and management will learn how sexual harassment and discrimination can affect an employee at work and why it is important that everyone be trained on this topic in the workplace.
Employee Course: This Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention Employee Training course complies with federal regulations. This awareness program educates employees about the causes and the consequences of sexual harassment in the workplace. Employees will be able to define sexual harassment, recognize the behaviors that are associated with harassment and learn how to deal with situations properly should they occur. This course covers an employer’s responsibility to provide support and confidentiality to their employees and includes information on how to file a sexual harassment or discrimination lawsuit. In compliance with federal regulations, this course also includes questions that assess learning with additional skill building activities, examples and real case scenarios.
